We are having our Valentines party on Thursday, February 11th! You're child is welcome to bring Valentine cards and/or treats to pass out to classmates. We have 27 students in our class, so just make sure there are enough for everyone and any treat must be store bought. We will still be having our spelling test, so please remember to help your child study!
We are having a read-a-thon in our class on Friday December 4th! Your student is welcome to bring several books from home and EITHER a pillow, blanket OR stuffed animal. (Just one item per child so we won't have too many items that can get mixed up.)
With next week being Thanksgiving we will only have school on Monday and Tuesday(short day). Because of the shortness of the week there will not be any spelling words or homework. Enjoy the week off and have a wonderful holiday!
It's red ribbon week at Wright Elementary! We will be discussing the dangers of drugs and how to say no. Please take this opportunity to talk with your kids at home! Students are invited to dress up this week according to the following schedule.
Monday - Red Day - Proud to be drug free. Tuesday - Nerd Day - Be a smart Never Ending Radical Dude and say no to drugs. Wednesday - Neon/80's Day - I'm too bright for drugs. Thursday - Sports/Team Day - Team up against drugs and say no. Friday - Super Hero Day - Be a super hero; say no to drugs. |
Miss Grant
My name is Rachel Grant and I'm a second grade teacher at Gearld Wright Elementary. I love teaching! The decision I’ve made to be a teacher is confirmed every time I walk into the classroom. The students, the environment and the learning that takes place fill me with excitement each day. Archives
